While proud to be a part of the machine that empowers the Irish, Teddy struggles to accept the damage it does to others. It's the American way, but is it the right way?
The story asks, “Could our personal comfort keep us from asking questions?”; "When one immigrant group rises, must others fall behind?"; “Have we changed much in the last 100 years?”; and “How easy is it to turn your back on Democracy?”.

Two blades of grass confront their differences. The Other is uncomfortably stuck in a crack in the sidewalk while The One is smug and comfy in a plush lawn. The Other wants some of what The One is getting. Conflict ensues.

The Singed Cat is a matriarchal story about 3 generations of women (grandmother, 2 adult daughters and 2 grand-daughters) getting together for an attempted reunion at a cottage on a lake in Maine. “Same as a Singed Cat” is an old Maine saying referring to the cat who seeks warmth under the stove only to wake up singed from being too near the fire. Similarly, the women in this play attempt the warmth of closeness but are ultimately destined to experience combustion when their past is confronted.

Let Maisy Rest In Peace is a love story about a simple man, Walter, who, in respect of his dying wife’s last request, buries her in the front yard of his Tinder Hill, Alabama house. Some townsfolk loyally support the gravesite location, while others aren't sure about the “flashy” memorial drawing unwanted attention on Main Street. The Town Council disapproves and intervenes. To protect the gravesite, Walter earnestly attempts many madcap maneuvers but is ultimately torn between honoring his promise to Maisy and considering the needs of his economically distressed community.

The New Me is a play about finding the real person behind the socially acceptable mask. Danielle, in the throes of a bad marriage, seeks solace in her mother’s company. She and her "well-behaved" mother Madeleine end up switching roles and the melodrama quickly turns into a farce. Greg, the "bad" husband, is suspiciously accused of abhorrent behavior at work. How did that happen? A private investigator arrives. Danielle eventually reconciles her past with her possible future and gets what she needs in the end.

The Button Man is about a troubled man, Bob, and his curious friendship with Enish. Bob has arrived at a place in his life where he is feeling particularly lost. He is drawn to Enish’s astonishing lectures and so decides to bring this stranger home to meet his worried wife Ruth. Ruth has some eye-opening discoveries as she undergoes an encounter with this mystery guest and galactic insights.

Mistress Marlene is a play about Sandra’s titillating encounter with a most unusual electrician. Sandra thinks he’s there to fix her electrical sockets but to her enlightened surprise she gets more than she bargained for.

Look Me In the Eyes is about a man who feels invisible to the world. He intensely searches for a more meaningful connection with his wife and with the world around him. One day on a busy subway platform he encounters a stranger who looks him right in the eye and really seems to see him. This poignant contact changes everything and the husband is driven to confront his wife and ask for more.

What Is It? is a play about the controversy around a recently erected public statue and three different opinions on the same “piece of art”. Mandy complains that he can no longer enjoy his favorite view because of this “monstrosity”. His middle-aged daughter, Sandra, thinks the statue is amusing and she “sort of likes it”. Two teenagers arrive to admire the art, as their teacher has instructed, for a school assignment. The three opinions feed an amusing argument that brings these three generations together in an agreement to charmingly disagree.
