Camille Mitchell

Camille Mitchell (she/her) is a performer and playwright from San Antonio, Texas, based in Chicago. She is a recipient of the Zach Helm Endowed Playwriting Scholarship and has participated in three years of The Theatre School’s Wrights of Spring Festival, a showcase for new works featuring 3G, a ten-minute play and Dakota, a one act. Her new full-length play, was workshopped at the festival in 2018. As an improviser, she has performed all around Texas and Chicago with ComedySportz Chicago and various independent teams. She has trained at The iO Theater where upon graduation performed with The Pool, a sixteen week long-form intensive. As an educator, Camille was the Lower Elementary Drama Teacher at Brooklyn Heights Montessori School and currently teaches elementary interdisciplinary arts through The Interlochen School of the Arts' online program. She has trained with the British American Drama Academy (Midsummer at Oxford '18) and holds a BFA in Playwriting from The Theatre School at DePaul University.

Synopsis

At 13 years old, Lana Piper has enough on her plate. No really. With the school dance just around the corner, her custom dress no longer fits. Worst of all?
