Paz Pardo is stepping out into the wide world with a newly minted MFA from Michener Center for Writers at The University of Texas at Austin. Plays include Movimiento Perpetuo/Perpetual Motion, which she has performed in 11 cities in three countries; Duct Tape Girl and Fetish Chick Conquer the World (BootStrap Theater Foundation, New York City); Rubber Match (RED CARAVAN, NYC) and Milton, MI (Bay Area Playwrights Festival Finalist, 2016). Using a combination of techniques stolen from sci-fi movies, experimental theater, and cooking blogs, Perpetual Motion weaves together English and Spanish, inviting the audience into an intimate experience in an alienated world. Staged in living rooms across the Americas, Perpetual Motion promises sci-fi expositions, gentle audience participation, and a brownie for everyone.

Jake and Leah were hot-shot young poets when they left NYC for Jake’s professorship at Milton Tech, but now Leah’s working admin as Jake’s career skyrockets. So when fresh-faced Amber shows up, it’s only a matter of time before things get sticky. A play about threesomes, poetry, and slugs.

By the time I could speak enough Spanish to talk to my grandmother, her memories were moth-eaten by Alzheimer’s. I moved back to Argentina forty years after my father’s arrival in the US. What did my family miss in those four decades? What did my grandmother remember, before she forgot? A fragmented fable of identity...

Mommy and Daddy want to talk about Salome’s vaginal lubrication issues. And Chuck may still be working for his old mentor Dr. Lester, an FBI man turned...
