Jared Sprowls (he/him) is a Chicago based playwright and graduate of Arizona State University’s MFA in Dramatic Writing Program. Much of his recent work revolves around Jewish identity on stage, specifically interrogating and reimagining representations of Jewish sexuality, femininity, and queerness. His solo show, Good Mourning, has had staged reading at The Understudy in Chicago, Upper Jay Arts Center, and Arizona State University. Sprowls’ work has been produced Off-Broadway through the Araca Project and has received workshops with Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble, Jackalope Theatre, The New Coordinates, and Available Light Theater.
