Eric Grant

Born and raised in Michigan, Eric has been writing stories for stage and screen since he was eight years old. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan (B.A.), where he was a two-time recipient of the coveted Hopwood Award for Drama. His work has been produced at The Second City's De Maat Theatre (Chicago, IL), Basement Arts (Ann Arbor, MI) and The Phoenicia International Festival of the Voice (Phoenicia, NY). He has had staged readings through a residence at The MITTEN Lab (Bear Lake, MI); the John F. Kennedy Center's internship program in Washington, D.C.; and NoMads Art Collective (Chicago, IL). Synopsis

Two life-changing dates, thirty years apart. Act One follows ELI, a young elementary school teacher who decides to go home with JAY on their first date. As the night progresses, Eli begins to suspect that Jay is a notorious serial killer targeting gay men. He spends the evening attempting to escape with his life.

Act Two follows the consequences of that evening, thirty years later…

Synopsis

Somewhere in America, a town is about to be jolted awake by news crews and police tape. Something terrible has happened at a local gay nightclub. Shelley, a devoted mother of one, receives a frantic phone call from her teenaged son, Steve. He begs his mother to pick him up as soon as possible. A little after midnight, Shelley returns home, covered in blood. Neither she nor her husband, Scott, have located Steve...

Shelley, a devoted mother of one, receives a frantic phone call from her teenaged son, Steve. He begs his mother to pick him up as soon as possible. Language fails everyone as they’re confronted with grief, loss, love, hope, and even addiction.
