James Venhaus is a playwright, actor, director and educator. His plays include the award winning plays The Happy Couple, Broken Record, Weird Sisters, and The Temple of Dionysus. He has also written as series of widely produced 10-minute plays including, The First Christmas, Concourse 'E', Santa's Little Helper, Amy's Last Shift, and Three Kings. His plays for young audiences, Romeo and Juliet at Verona High, A Great Big Deal Over Nothing and The Top Hand of Lone Tree Ranch have been performed in schools and theatres across the country.

He holds a B.F.A. in Theatre from Southwestern University and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Austin College. He lives in Fort Worth, Texas with his wife and daughters.
