An improv class at a retirement community brings four strangers together. Walter wants to see what sort of ladies do improv, Charlotte wants to try something new, Briley wants to have fun, and Vicky wants to be the boss. As they wait for their instructor to arrive, they begin playing games and learn about friendship, connection, and living in the moment.

In the not too distant future of 2030, student loans have become a serious issue with serious consequences. A globe-trotting grandmother, a performance artist on the verge of founding a new religion, and an entitled yoga instructor join three recent college graduates scheming to get out of student loan debt. The college graduates must go to extreme measures to pay back their loans and their lives will never be the same.

Jimmy Was Eight follows three people, Antonia, Mary, and Terence, as they grapple with societal expectations, the limits of forgiveness, and navigating the aftermath of surviving an acquaintance rape, a brutal hate crime, and the killing of a child at the hands of police. They encounter therapists, activists, religious authorities, concerned friends and family, well-meaning journalists and community members, all offering various forms of help. The three characters are forced to confront the narrative that recovery must include forgiving those who’ve wronged you and taken away your agency. Antonia, Mary, and Terence each must make the difficult decision on how to keep on living despite these obstacles.

The night before her grandfather’s funeral, Audre reluctantly returns home. She is greeted by her socially inept sister Cora, her codependent mother Carol, and her abusive father Jeff. As the evening progresses, tensions rise as Audre refuses to conform to her family’s delusions. A potential love interest for Cora unexpectedly shows up at the apartment and the two sisters must work together to salvage the evening and Cora’s future. Will Cora choose to remain in the only life she’s known or will the possibility of love give Cora the strength to set out on her own?

Poetry, drinking, and unrequited love dominate the lives of students and professors in a Tang Dynasty school as they attempt to win favor with the Emperor in the process of finding eternal fame. Students Zhang Bo, Chang Ji, and Li Bai must learn what friendship, loyalty, and sacrifice means. Will they choose the greater good or seek fame and glory for themselves? The students are guided by Professor Chang, Professor Lu, Professor Nie, and Professor Wu who each have their own methods of madness.
