Alisha Espinosa is an Afro-Boricua playwright and actor based on the edge of everywhere and nowhere, but mostly in NYC. She is also the Producing Artistic Director for the Latinx Playwrights Circle. She holds an MFA in Acting and Directing from UMKC, and a BA in English Literature and Theater Arts from Le Moyne College. Previously she has presented through the Primary Stages/Latinx Playwrights Circle Infinite Stories series, and a workshop reading of her play Prisoner Tongues through the Drama League’s First Stage Artist Residency Program in 2019. She has collaborated with the New York Shakespeare Exchange in their inaugural Diversity Cohort, which culminated in a festival of new short plays. She recently participated in 48 Hours in El Bronx 2020, was a member of Clubber Thumb's 2021 - 2022 Early Career Writer's Group, and a New Georges Audrey Resident 2022 - 2023.
