Yu-Li Alice Shen (she/they) is a playwright, English professor, actor, and audiobook narrator. She received her first professional production at Bristol Valley Theater for her play "Magical Thinking" in 2023, and her play “Image May Contain” was named an Honorable Mention for the American Playwriting Foundation’s Relentless Award in 2024. Her monologues have been published in a Smith & Kraus anthology and the PlayGround Experiment’s Faces of America collection, and her ten-minute play, "Pearls Before Swine," won a publication contest held by synkroniciti online literary journal.

In her spare time, she sings and plays ukulele at local assisted living facilities, and she co-hosts the irreverent humor/improv podcast, “Going Terribly.” Her recent audiobook work includes "Summer at Squee" by Andrea Wang and "Daughters of Shandong" by Eve J. Chung, which was named #1 Summer Audio on Oprah Daily.
