Mark A. Ridge is graduate of The Second City Actor Training Program. He has appeared in shows with the Shawnee Professional Theatre Company, The Court Theatre and was a founding member of The Griffin Theatre Company. Mark is currently an Actors' Equity Membership Candidate, a proud member of the Pee Wee Herman Fun Club and a member of The Dramatists Guild of America.

After a nearly 20 year break working in the film industry, Mark was happy to return to his writing. His recent works include EUPHORIA and KILLING KITTENS, which was produced by Theatre on the Square in Indianapolis, Indiana and received a staged reading by La Strada Ensemble Theatre in New Jersey as part of the 2015 Pride Month Rainbow Reading Series.
His musical parody, 43rd STREET was given a staged reading by Three Cat Productions in Chicago and was a finalist in the 2017 Shawnee Playhouse Original Script Competition in Pennsylvania.
His current project, THE VULTURES was a runner for the 2018 Robert J. Pickering Award for Playwrighting Excellence in Michigan and the winner of the 2018 Jewel Box Theatre Original Play Contest in Oklahoma. The show finished in the top five scripts in the Rover Dramawerks New Play Contest and is currently a finalist in the New Works Competition at Khaos Company theatre in Indiana. The script received a staged reading in Chicago by Three Cat Productions, Downeaster Theatre (Michigan) and Khaos Company Theatre (Indianapolis.)
The Vultures was produced by The Florence Community Theatre (Nebraska), Evolution Theatre (Ohio), Lakewood Theatre (Maine) and Jewel Box Theatre (Oklahoma)
