jeremy o’brian is a recording artist, songwriter, and playwright from Lambert, Mississippi whose work draws from the poetics of the black south, black popular culture and histories, and the black vernacular tradition. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Tougaloo College before attending and graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a Master of Arts in African and African Diaspora Studies.
