in an apocalyptic near future, an eccentric figure called T.A.R. hid a treasure he believed could save someone from the impending world ending “cataclysm,” as it would come to be called. all the finder had to do was decode a cryptic poem that contained all the clues one would need to locate the treasure. if you found it, you got to keep it. 100 years after said cataclysm, five siblings reunite following the death of their T.A.R. treasure-obsessed patriarch and try to make sense of the life he forced them to lead. along the way, they excavate their shared and very separate pasts. and also some treasure, maybe. T.A.R. is part family drama, part adventure story, part mystical mystery, that interrogates the bonds of family, fear, and the secrets we keep from each other and ourselves in order to survive.
