Max Keane

Max Keane is a Brooklyn-based playwright. Selected writing includes Wondergeist (Brick Aux), Keynote at Necro-Con (The Brick Theater), The Emancipation of Sugar and Baby (Weasel Fest ’23/The Brick), Break Room (The Wild Project), Number Six Down (Manhattan Rep), Psychodrama (Muhlenberg College). His work has also been supported and developed by the Workshop Theater and Shakespeare on the Sound. He holds an MFA in Playwriting from Brooklyn College.

Synopsis

An interplanetary blood-satire of power and privilege, this emotional map of queer fascist descent tracks Shoelace, a new recruit in a post-apocalyptic drug cartel systemically abandoned in the desert. He follows his one true passion (being hot, cute, and sexy) a little too well and winds up joining a rival gang full of body fascists bent on escaping their dying planet with only one genome in mind.
