After the death of her husband, Bernarda Alba imposes an eight-year mourning period on her five daughters, sealing them inside a household ruled by rigid discipline, repression, and fear of scandal.

As desire, jealousy, and dreams of escape begin to fracture the family's carefully maintained order, the daughters are drawn into an escalating struggle for love and freedom.

This expansive adaptation reimagines García Lorca's classic by bringing previously unseen characters to the stage, including the elusive Pepe el Romano, and adding new scenes that broaden the world beyond Bernarda's walls. The result remains faithful to Lorca's poetry and passions while offering a fresh perspective on one of theatre's most enduring tragedies.
