In her role as Artistic Director for the Contemporary American Theater Festival Peggy produces new plays, many of which are world premieres. CATF plays move to regional theaters, are made into movies, and find their way to Broadway and Off-Broadway. Peggy is dedicated to nurturing playwrights and being of service to the art, the artists, and the audiences committed to new play development. Peggy is honored to have worked with extraordinary playwrights, directors, dramaturgs, designers and all the collaborative artists that make new work.

Studio Theatre (Berlin, Germany); Teatro Alfa Real (Sao Paulo, Brazil); and the Mandarin translation of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in Beijing, China. Peggy is a member of USA 829.
Peggy’s work was the centerpiece for the traveling museum exhibition, High Drama: Costumes from CATF. She is a recipient of the West Virginia Artist of the Year award and listed as one of West Virginia’s Wonder Women for outstanding leadership in the arts. Peggy co-edited the anthology, Plays by Women from the Contemporary American Theater Festival.
