Alexandra Rogers

Alexandra Rogers (they/them) is a Florida-born, New York based theatre-maker. Discussions of obsession, belonging, desire, and the performance of identity are woven throughout Alexandra’s work— as well as a deeply rooted love for stories and storytelling. They most of all enjoy making plays that feel like when summer is fading into fall.

They are currently the Literary Director with Ghost Light Theatre Company and the founder of the Bright Lights Playwriting Cohort, which provides literary support and removes barriers that may stand in the way of a developmental process for early career playwrights.

Synopsis

Fame<Infamy follows the members of two almost famous bands as they crisscross the country on a rock festival tour during the summer of 2004. We watch as they navigate their insular, overly masculine environment, how it breeds strong feelings and bad behaviors, and what they are willing (or unwilling) to sacrifice for fame.

STAN is a fantastical romp based on a real life dinosaur, a real life auction, and a rumored feud. Through prehistoric asides, childish taunting, and dangerous games, STAN, at its core, warns us about the dangers of locking away our most priceless histories to collect dust.

While on their way to a diplomatic meeting on Vulcan, the crew of the Enterprise takes a short detour to respond to a distress call. But after bringing the sole survivor of the crash aboard, they discover that (per usual) things are not always what they seem… Will they live long and prosper? Will they find love? Or is no one (nor their mom) safe from this mysterious stowaway?
