We start with a story. A story about a hero, a prince, a knight, an explorer, and a witch. When this young group of heroes set off on a quest to save their home, they are faced with a foe far greater than they could ever imagine. As the secrets of their reality are unveiled and distorted, they are challenged with the idea of what it really means to be a hero. A queer reimanging of the hero's journey, Children of Gaia emphasizes that the expectations and labels that we are given by society do not define us or our character.

Love sucks. Love can also be beautiful. How does love impact our day to day lives? How does sex impact someone’s love life? How do other people’s love lives impact our lives? These questions will be explored and contemplated throughout this show. I hope to open a conversation about a very personal part of people’s lives that people tend to shy away from discussing. Themes like sexual assault, infidelity, divorce, and many others are often not talked about, and I feel that it’s important to start the conversation. People’s love lives are so often a sensitive subject that it can often leave people feeling alone. I hope that this show will open the conversation and help to deconstruct the taboo of discussing love.

Emily and Jason decide to meet up one Christmas Eve after not seeing each other for years. Jason wants to heal old wounds, but he will find that some wounds are too deep to heal with words. Emily must confront her past to look towards the future.
