Kate Langsdorf used to be a lot of things. A Seattle-based writer, dramaturg, and communications professional specializing in digital audience engagement, Kate spent the Plague Years in local government. She’s delighted to return to NNPN, where she was the communications person in the olden days. She’s a Helen Hayes Award-nominated playwright and lyricist for her work with dog & pony dc, and she spent a spell as Education Programs Manager at Ford’s Theatre, where she specialized in bringing live, interactive, online history plays to classrooms, libraries, and community centers. (She won awards for those programs!) She’s a frequent festival script reader and was a Helen Hayes judge in her D.C. years. Kate is certified in Mental Health First Aid and is an advocate for disabled folks in the workplace. She holds a B.A. in directing and performance, an M.F.A. in creative writing, and, most importantly, a graduation certificate from the Upright Citizen’s Brigade sketch-writing program. She was a Jungle Cruise skipper at Disneyland during college, and several people have told her this should be included in every bio.
