Katy Laurance is an award-winning performer, storyteller, and playwright based in Anchorage, Alaska. She has appeared as a featured storyteller for The Moth Mainstage and The Moth Podcast (Shells on a Beach), and as a repeat storyteller and host for Arctic Entries in Anchorage. Her plays have been selected for the Valdez Theater Conference Play Lab for the past four years, and her play The Good Word, was a semi-finalist in the 2023 SheNYC Summer Theater Festival. Her play What We Inherit was a finalist for Amphibian Stage's 2025 Sparkfest, is currently a semi-finalist for SheNYC’s 2025 Festival.

Katy has made multiple starring appearances with Cyrano’s Theatre Company (The Mystery of Irma Vep, Fallen Angels, The Importance of Being Earnest), Scared Scriptless Improv (performer and Artistic Director), The Tap Studio (2023 Cama'i Dance Festival), and Anchorage Cabarets (soloist), and has won multiple Alaskan and NW Regional NATS vocal competitions. Most recently, Katy was awarded Best Actor honors for her performance in the title role in Kristen Ritter’s Blanche Stuart Scott at the SheLA 2024 Summer Theatre Festival in Los Angeles.
