Selah DeGering is a bold Utah playwright whose heart never left the Louisiana bayou. Their work centers on themes of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ identity, cultural conflict, abuse, and recovery. Often toeing the line between the real world and the intangible, Selah specializes in historical fiction and fantasy horror. With their degree with honors in Theater Arts Studies emphasizing playwrighting from Brigham Young University, they work closely with community new play development, including as a recurrent Artist Panel Reader with the Brooklyn, NY-based Jewish Play Project. At home, Selah and her partner share three children and two cats.
