Adelina Marinello

Adelina Marinello (she/her) is a New York-born, South Florida-raised, and Chicago-based performer and playwright. She graduated from Northwestern University in 2024, where she studied Theatre, with concentrations in Musical Theatre and Playwriting, as well as a minor in Environmental Policy & Culture. Adelina is deeply passionate about centering femme multidimensionality, catharsis, and joy through storytelling. She recently completed a commission for the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she and composer/lyricist Matthew Millin co-wrote a TYA Musical for BCPA’s 2024-25 and 2025-26 Seasons. But when the line between pretend and reality blurs, the girls must embrace their differences to crack the case. This new comic thriller examines girlhood in a world where it’s dangerous to be a girl.

It is the most anticipated week of the Speech and Debate calendar year: Nationals. Suddenly, high school best friends Bri and Camille find themselves being pitted against each other, as each progresses to the Final Round. Tensions threaten to boil over as the team makes their way through the final round of the tournament, and everyone waits with bated breath to see which student (and which story) will win it all...
