Claire Waldrop (she/her) is a playwright, dramaturg, and prose-person. She graduated from Ohio University and studied English Literature and Creative Writing with a scholarly focus on Dramatic Literature. Her ten-minute play, Flicker, was recently selected for the 2024 Appalachia New Voices Festival and she is a recipient of the 365 Women A Year NextGen Playwriting Award. Her thesis play, A Documentary on Steel and Public Health [and the apocalypse], received a staged reading at the Ohio University Fringe Festival in April of 2025 and an honorable mention for the Ohio University Outstanding Creative Thesis Award.
