As a performer, she has appeared in several productions Off Broadway at the Jean Cocteau Repertory Theatre including The Threepenny Opera, Intrigue & Love, Pygmalion, Medea, Mother Courage and a workshop production of The Miser sponsored by the Alliance Francais. Her most recent role was the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet with Theater 2020. Other favorite roles include April in The Hot l Baltimore (T. Schreiber Studio), Pegeen in The Playboy of the Western World (Theatre Ten Ten), Maria in Twelfth Night (Kings County Shakespeare Company), and Pasha in Temporarily Yours, (Distilled Spirits Theatre, St Augustine’s Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe Festival). Macy received a BFA from the University of Minnesota and trained at the Guthrie Theater and several independent studios in New York City. Macy studied playwriting at New Dramatists in New York City and before moving to New York was a resident acting company member at the Minneapolis Playwrights Center. Macy is Resident Playwright at Theater 2020 and an Associate Member of the Dramatists’ Guild.
