Jordi Galceran is a Barcelona-based playwright. He has been writing plays since 1988. THE GRÖNHOLM METHOD is his most recognized international success. The play opened simultaneously in Barcelona and Madrid and ran for four years in both cities, and is now on stage again. To date, it has been produced in over 60 countries. The play and casts have won dozens of awards all over the world, with some productions running for more than ten years.
In 1995, he submitted his two latest plays to major competitions: PARAULES ENCADENADES (WORD PLAY) and DAKOTA. Both plays won major Catalan Theatre Awards and they were his first professional premieres.

BURUNDANGA is his longest-running comedy, which has already accumulated its eleventh season in Madrid.
He has also done translations and adaptations of more than thirty plays and musicals by authors such as Goldoni, De Filippo, Yasmina Reza, David Mamet or the spanish adaptation of The Lion King.
In addition to his theatrical activity, he has worked as a screenwriter for various television series: Nissaga de poder, El cor de la ciutat, Laura, La memòria dels cargols, La Sagrada Família, Polseres vermelles, Nit i dia, The Head (english).
He has written also films for television: Dues dones, Cabell d'àngel, Gossos, Càmping, Serrallonga, Dictado, El nom, El credit, El mètode Grönholm.
He has also written the screenplay for Fragile, a horror film directed by Jaume Balagueró.
He has published various short stories with the Germans Miranda collective and has collaborated with the newspapers La Vanguardia and Ara.
His latest play is FITZROY, the story of four climbers in the middle of the ascent to one of the most difficult walls in the world, never achieved by a female team.
He lives in Barcelona with his wife and two children.
