Jaden Tyler Urso is a playwright who hails from New Jersey. She writes about the weird, the queer, the chronically ill, and the classical.
Her work as a writer (and sometimes director!) has been shown at NYU Tisch, Playwrights Downtown, The Emerging Artists Festival, The Tank, and Soho Playhouse, among others. Her poems and prose have been featured in HAD, Maudlin House, The Greene Street Review (NYU), Laurel Moon (Brandeis University), Travesties?!, and the Daily Drunk.
She is a winner of the Seth Barkas Prize for fiction and a Best of the Net nominee for poetry. Her play "Lavinia Andronicus is YOUR Spin Instructor" was a finalist in Red Bull's 2024 Short Plays competition. She was recently a member of the Elif Collective and 3P's "Oven Writers Cohort."
