Anne Hanley is a former Alaska Writer Laureate. She has an MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA and has worked in magazines, TV, film and theater. Her play, The Winter Bear, which tells the story of an Alaska Native youth wrestling with suicide, has been produced in over 50 villages, towns and cities all over Alaska. She lives in Fairbanks, Alaska, where she is a founding member of the Looking Glass Group Theatre.
