Anna Waiter

Anna Waiter (she/her) is a writer, actor, teaching artist, and native New Yorker. Her teaching experiences have inspired her to create great roles for women and teenage girls, and her first play, Brutal, was inspired by the high school girls she taught her first year out of college. Her goal is for her work to eventually be released for amateur rights.

Anna holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from The Hartt School and is currently the head of the performing arts department at a sleep-away camp.

Synopsis

Six teenage girls and one older sister get together for a COVID Halloween party. As the night progresses, tensions build and telling the truth becomes harder and harder to avoid; long-held secrets aren’t so easy to keep when you’re finally together in person. Bombs are dropped, friendships are tested, and, well…things get brutal.
