Isa most recently associate produced The Tank’s annual late summer festival, LimeFest, where they presented the very first public reading of Sublimation. Their work carefully examines the voyeuristic relationship between the audience and performer, challenging structures of power and theater itself. Isa values balancing darkness and light, unearthing the pains, joys, and risks of the lesbian identity. Overall, Isa Garcia brings a bold and unapologetic voice to the forefront of the artistic scene, as the emerging leader of the Dyke Theater Movement. Instagram: @isatheedyke, @dyketheaterco

What would you do if you stepped into your apartment in a ginormous strap-on expecting to have ravenous sexual intercourse with a beautiful woman and instead walk into a room full of people staring at you? ASÍ is an overconfident lesbian playboy, with a serious case of toxic masculinity. As the play develops, Así comes to realize that the solo show they’ve stumbled upon is not so solo after all, and they must wrestle (WWE-style) with their internalized machismo, longing for true love, and their childhood rival in order to break familial cycles in this form-defying piece of dyke theater.
