A woman made of snow,

A soldier with little to fight for,

And a country gasping for life.

After the Russian Revolution, Pasha, a young farmer and Bolshevik army conscript, returns home to find his family murdered, his village in ruins, and a strange young woman inside his house...waiting for him.

Pasha and the Snow Maiden is a reimagining of a Russian fairytale infused with mystery, magic, and danger. It features storytelling a la The Woodsman and Peter and the Starcatcher, and should be produced using large-scale puppets such as those seen in Warhorse or The Grinning Man.

As modern Russia wages its genocidal war in Ukraine, it's sobering to realize that the more things change in Russia, the more things stay the same. What does it take to break cycles of violence and hopelessness? Pasha and the Snow Maiden offers a light in the darkness; for the world and for our own country.

Christopher Marlowe: iconoclast, luminary, spy. In The Last Words of Christopher Marlowe, the most notorious playwright of the Elizabethan age demands an audience just one more time. Delightfully irreverent, and charmingly shocking, Marlowe’s wit is contemporary and dazzling in direct address. The Last Words of Christopher Marlowe is to be performed by a dynamic company of actors playing multiple roles who are as comfortable inhabiting the 16th century as the the 21st, sometimes all at once. A life lived upon a rapier’s edge, this play follows Marlowe through the dizzying world of Elizabethan espionage and into the arms of the man who may have been his great love. The Last Words of Christopher Marlowe celebrates the poet whose work “launched a thousand ships” but could make no Faustian bargain to save himself. A man out of time, a man for all time; the “great reckoning in a small room" requires a reckoning. Marlowe’s death is just the beginning of his story.
