Vita grew up in a traditional Italian-American home in Southern California, in worlds that often contradicted each other, but could agree that pursuing anything in theatre was not a smart decision. She wants her work to motivate “the awkward girl” who found something she loved, and pursues it in the face of obstacles and lack of support, while embolden creatives to try anything that speaks to their soul.
Her interest in writing peaked at UCSD, completing multiple 10 minute pieces, and a one act piece. Her 10 minute play PULL, is included on the New Play Exchange Database. While performing in Long Beach Playhouse’s production of The Diary of Anne Frank as Anne Frank, she published an article in 11 Second Magazine documenting her experiences and reflections of playing such an iconic character, who is often exempt from having relatable, petty, truly human emotions. She developed her piece Robbed with the EMBARK CO-HORT in collaboration with Orange County Playwrights Alliance. It was also selected for the Larking House's Playwright's Intensive in 2025.
