Synopsis

When the president of a high school GSA unexpectedly steps down, the remaining board members use their identity and relationships to jockey for power.

Queer, awkward, and nostalgic, BABY’S first CRAZY kiss STORY is a love letter to being young, lost, confused, and crushed. To being the weird one. To finding the universal within the specific. And, perhaps, to still knowing all the words to Baba Yetu seven years after you learned them.

When Katie, Jules, and Madi meet in an early-morning line to see their favorite band, they know from the start that their blossoming friendship will be heavily informed by their shared interests. What they don’t know is how deeply these relationships – both with the band and with each other – will affect their future. Inspired by the communities surrounding bands like MUNA and boygenius, Third Things explores the chaos of queer relationships, the isolation (and humor) of the chronically online, and the ways that friendships shift as differing interests and newfound careers set friends on diverging paths.
