Joel De Jesus-Pacheco (He/They) is a Philly theater artist, born and raised in Puerto Rico, where he started his acting training 10 years ago. He graduated from Temple University (BA Theater/Acting)and has performed a variety of shows, including: Beating a Dead Horse (Todd), The Tempest (Adrian/US Trinculo), and Airness (Bartender/Male Swing). He’s also had the chance to work as a playwright with a play being produced for TU SideStage’s Ben Vargas Short Stuff festival, as well as a dramaturg with Temple productions Our Country’s Good and The Anastasia Trials in the Court of Women.
Joel is currently developing the first part of his debut full-length play for the Philadelphia Fringe Festival this upcoming September titled “Amor/Libertad”, with a story that follows the realities of Puerto...
