Annalise Cain is a playwright, actor and theatre artist from Western Massachusetts. Her plays include What Screams I Hear Are Mine, If You Give A Kid A Sucker, The Hunchback of Camden, Maine, The Rebound, Hurry Up and Wait, A Brief History of Terrible Advice Given To And By Me, and The Powell Variations. She is the recipient of the National Partners of the American Theater Playwriting Award. In 2018, she attended the O'Neill Conference as a Playwright Observer. What Screams was a semi-finalist in Kitchen Dog’s Theatre New Works Festival and the O’Neill Theater Conference, and Sucker a finalist in the Campfire Theater Festival. She has a BFA in Theatre Arts from Boston University. Her work has been developed by the Tribe Theatre Company, Playhouse on Park, Queens Theatre, and BU’s School of Theatre. In 2016, she co-founded the Clementine Collective, a small theater collective dedicated to producing new and neglected works and connecting young artists.
