I was head of the Playwriting program at Brigham Young University from 1992-2012. I am Playwright-in-Residence at Plan B Theatre Company in Salt Lake City, where eight of my plays have premiered, including CLEARING BOMBS, which was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize, and where the entire 2013/14 season was dedicated to my work. My latest play, THE ICE FRONT, will be workshopped at Pioneer Theatre Company in the spring of 2017 before it opens Plan-B's 2017/18 season.I have had 26 plays professionally produced. I'm also an Ibsen translator and published scholar. I'm a Mormon, and am past President of the Association for Mormon Letters.
