Les Abromovitz is a member of the Dramatists Guild. In 2025, eleven theatres chose his plays for production or readings. Ten of his one-act and 10-minute comedies were selected for production or readings in 2024. He has won two national playwriting awards.

Several of his plays have been chosen as the audience’s favorite at festivals across the country. His play, UNACCOMPANIED MINER, was the first-place winner in the Storefront Theatre’s 13th annual 10-minute play festival in March, 2026.

His Covid play was included in a book of short plays published by Smith & Kraus in July, 2021. One of the monologues from his play, THE VIEW FROM DOWN UNDER, was selected for publication by Smith & Kraus for its 2026 Best Men’s Stage Monologues. His comedy, THERAPY DOG...

Les has been the author, co-author, technical editor, and ghostwriter of numerous business books that were published by John Wiley & Sons, McGraw-Hill, Dearborn Trade, ALM Media, and other major publishers.

Les and his wife, Hedy, split their time between Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Boca Raton, Florida. And last but certainly least, he is an attorney who learned most of what he knows by watching Law & Order.
