RUTH MCKEE is a Los Angeles-based playwright. Notable productions include THE NIGHTSHADE FAMILY in SPFNYC and STRAY in the Cherry Lane Mentor Project. She is a founding member of LA-based the site-specific theatre company Chalk Repertory Theatre, which has produced her full-length works IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, STRAY, FULL DISCLOSURE and HELL MONEY, as well as short plays EVOLUTION, SKINS AND BONES, and RIGHT TO POST. She was a 2007 Kendeda Finalist, the recipient of the 2008 Stanley Drama Award, and a runner-up for the 2009 Yale Drama Series Award. Originally from Canada, by way of Bangladesh and Kenya, Ruth has a BFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU, and an MFA in Playwriting from UCSD.
