Stephanie's play AMERICAN LIGHTNING was workshopped at the 2017 Fullerton College New Playwrights Festival. A former member of the Greenwich Village Songwriter's Exchange, her song FIGUREHEAD won the "Best Song of Enchantment" award at the Hosting of the Bard's festival in Callicoon, NY. Her film "The Other Mrs. Gilmore," appeared in Charlotte's 2016 48 Hr Film festival. Stephanie is an actor (SAG) and is an active member of the theatre community in Charlotte, NC. Her short plays can be seen in workshops, showcases and festivals in the greater Charlotte region.

AMERICAN LIGHTNING is a full-length play about college students in an escape room who are transported to an historical event in Salisbury NC in 1965. Two young women come a different understanding of one another after learning about their shared American history. Historical flashbacks include a KKK grand dragon who is hiring a salesman for his lightning rod business, and a Black police officer who is assigned to a Klan march just after the Voter Rights Act is signed by Lyndon Johnson. There is conflict among the modern college students, a climactic shooting, and a twist at the end where new identities are revealed.
