Hi everyone! Phew, you thought you were about to see a very ~clinical~ and ~serious~ check up. Unh unh. This is a theatre performance and I do not really want to spread cooch and show vag while a bunch of random people are in attendance. Plus, I don’t think it’s the best way to get you to actually see what happens during a pap smear at an OBGYN appointment. So, instead, my cast mates and I have put together a creative demonstration for your enjoyment.

A Woman Manages Her Anxiety is a three person theatrical experience that incorporates dance to explore the life of an anxious woman. It tells the story of how her anxiety begins, and the methods she uses to manage it. It’s a show about how we deal with our inconvenient feelings and how shame and cultural pressures can lead to us internalizing harmful messages. And how, in order to escape the spiral of anxiety, we must face our fear and make it our friend.
