ash bell is a New York based playwright, screenwriter, ghost story teller, and part-time Oompa Loompa. She holds a BA in Theatre and an MFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University. Her full-length plays include scouts (O'Neill Semifinalist, Austin Film Festival Semi-Finalist, Stanley Drama Award Semi-Finalist), Freshly Killed Things, End of the World Club: A Protest Play for University Students, The Rise and Fall and Fall Again of Phaedra, and DARK ROOM.
Her work usually includes a descent into madness, something grotesque, friends holding hands, a theatrical experiment, a cacophony of sound, and has been described as “written by a deranged kindergartner. But in a good way.”
