Jeremy Llorence is a Black American playwright from Metro-Detroit. His ten-minute, one-act, and full-length plays have been seen in venues all over the Midwest including Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Milwaukee, and Chicago. He is a 2022 recipient of an Individual Excellence Award from the Ohio Arts Council. In 2018, Voice of the Net received a grant and new work, staged reading from the Greater Columbus Arts Council in conjunction with CATCO. Cane River King was the 2015 recipient of the Region Three Kennedy Center American College Theatre Fest award for best full length, the winner of the 2015 Activate: Midwest Festival, and has seen production at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theatre in Chicago.
