  • B Street Theatre performed this piece as part of our Virtual New Play Brunch series. Jess' short play, written for the "Zoom" or Digital Stage, packs so much in to only ten minutes. "AMAZING" is a full story filled with laughs, surprises, sadness and uncertainty for the future. Also, it showcases two (very simple!) close-up magic tricks. And who doesn't love magic?! While I've seen Zoom plays have different degrees of success, this play is unique in the sense that the setting of Zoom adds to the effectiveness of Honovich's wonderful storytelling.

  • This play is a hilarious, dynamic exploration of modern relationships and parenting in today's world. Four friends, none of them in a romantic relationship, decide to adopt a baby and raise the child together. When a pregnant teenager comes to their home to be a possible surrogate, the four friends are forced to face the skeletons in their closets. The plot twists in this play are exhilarating and DeMaria does an excellent job of utilizing the wit of her characters and the humor of the situation to mask the eventual turns that will truly shock audiences.

  • We did a reading of OUR FATHER at B Street Theatre in January 2019. The reading was a huge success with great audience responses to the comedic moments, the dramatic moments and the surprising reveals. This play touches on many universal experiences such as complex family dynamics, loss and forgiveness. Tom's voice is unique with jokes that have the audience rolling with laughter one moment and the next moment you can hear a pin drop when he lands a universal truth.

  • This play was a finalist in our 2018 New Comedies Festival at B Street Theatre and in turn, had two public readings that were very well received by our audiences. MORE BETTER BEAUTIFUL is filled with laughs, captivating characters and many twists and turns. A beautiful story about the secrets we keep, the lies we tell and the people who accept us in spite of our mistakes.
