Cam Torres is an American playwright based in Fall River, Massachusetts. He graduated from Emerson College with a degree in Acting in 2015. He is primarily a working actor, but has the years go on is transitioning behind the scenes spending more time writing and directing. In 2019, Brown Box produced the world premiere production of 'don't feed the bear.' 2023 has been a big year: 'don't feed the bear' will be receiving its second production with a fringe theater in Calgary, Alberta and its third with the Hollywood Fringe Festival in Hollywood, CA. Additionally, Cam's short play 'Harrison' was chosen for the Boston Theater Marathon and will premiere this May.

Cam has also been hard at work writing a musical called 'Halley's Comet' for the last ten years with writing team Eli Bigelow and Michael C. O'Malley. They held their first reading in January 2023 and after sold-out success were asked to hold a second workshop reading at Massasoit Theater Company in Brockton, Ma. 'Halley's Comet' has a growing fan base and has received interest for full-scale productions surrounding Massachusetts area.

The patriarch’s presence looms over the hospital room casting doubt and memory into his children, forcing Jo to question whether or not she will ever truly escape him. "Ashes Upon Ashes" is a play about toxicity, rage, and choice, and what happens when after a life of not having choice you’re finally allowed to choose.
