But when an American backpacker named Adam arrives at the hostel, Dino pounces on this small hope for escape––or at least a little excitement. Luckily for Dino, Adam, too, is looking for an escape. Also cohabiting in the hostel are Vicente and Manuela. Vicente has been having an impossibly hard time finding work in the city due to strong anti-immigrant sentiments, and Manu is finding it increasingly difficult to pretend she is pregnant so that the hostel manager, Suiza, won’t throw them out for not being able to pay for their room. Suiza is under pressure from upper management to make sure the Venezuelans "don’t cause any trouble." But when Adam and Dino get wrapped up in Vicente and Manu’s plot to escape the hostel without paying, who will end up paying the most?
