Nicholas Dunn
Writer, actor, and filmmaker based in Salt Lake City. In the Hellscape that was 2020, Nick won the Risk Theatre Modern Tragedy Competition with his play THE VALUE, and the Marius P. Halford IV Award for his One-Act TEMP. He also wrote the short film script EDITING 2020 for Salt Lake Acting Company.

Writer, actor, and filmmaker based in Salt Lake City. In the Hellscape that was 2020, Nick won the Risk Theatre Modern Tragedy Competition with his play THE VALUE, and the Marius P. Halford IV Award for his One-Act TEMP. He also wrote the short film script EDITING 2020 for Salt Lake Acting Company.
Nick has written several plays for youth, including THE NO GIRLS ALLOWED CLUB, the books and lyrics to the original musical adaptations of Hans Christian Anderson’s THE LITTLE MERMAID, THUMBELINA, and GREAT AMERICAN TALL TALES, all of which were presented at Kingsbury Hall by the University of Utah Youth Theatre. His original play VIRAL debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland in 2011, and his short play OPEN premiered at Wasatch Theatre Company as part of their Page-to-Stage festival. He has also written several short films and commercial campaigns, including the award winning short ART, and the award-winning commercial spot "I Am Downtown" for the Salt Lake Downtown Alliance. He also works in the film industry as a script coordinator, most notably on HBO's "Mosaic" directed by Steven Soderbergh.
Nick holds a BFA in acting from the University of Utah, and an MFA in Playwriting & Screenwriting from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, and was a participant in the Salt Lake Film Society's Screenwriter’s Program, co-sponsored by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences. He is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild.
