Hi there, friends!
My playwriting focus is in writing plays for young adult performers; because high schoolers and university students deserve smart, mature plays that fit into their communities and curricula.

I've had the joy of high schoolers performing my plays in district and state competition, on university campuses, festivals, and in community theaters. I value collaboration with all artists; if they need a production to be tailored to their community's needs, I'm there to serve.

I have experience as a dramaturg, having represented my alma mater at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and summer new play intensive, and currently read for national playwriting festivals - as well as thespian competition, where I serve as a playwriting adjudicator for middle and high...

I have experience as a dramaturg, having represented my alma mater at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and summer new play intensive, and currently read for national playwriting festivals - as well as thespian competition, where I serve as a playwriting adjudicator for middle and high schoolers.

My academic career took me from degrees in advertising and theatre at the University of Central Florida in sunny Orlando, to the Master of Arts Management program at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. I recently made the move to New Haven, Connecticut.

I think it's incredibly important to know what's happening in the lives of young adults, to make sure the stories we're giving them to process, perform, and learn from, speak to the questions of their contemporary life. (If you've performed or produced any of my work, please don't hesitate to submit feedback in this Google form: https://forms.gle/LMqHQiFNnP7bhP1r8 Thank you!)

An exploration of first relationships, First Miss follows Michele and Grant from their “emotionally sweaty” prom dance floor to the dumpster-fire days of their early twenties as they try to figure out why rom-coms look so deceptively simple. First Miss is a touching story of friendships, first loves and what it means to miss someone who, by all means, appears to be right there.

Originally produced as a one-act as part of university festival. Well suited to young adult performers.
