  • I love Tracy's play. It's a great example of what character-driven drama does best - it pulls us into the journey of two people and cracks us open. I have thought a lot about the protagonist's monologue on asexuality and how prescient this character is to our time.

  • I love this play. I love the writer. The two cannot be separated. Jake is a charismatic star. He is a fantastic performer - singer and writer. In the reservoir he masters many traditional genres: family, greek chorus and the forever redemption story. He does this in a way you wouldn't know that he is literally also a master musical theatre writer. I don't know how he does it.

I saw the ATLANTIC production. Gorgeous!

  • Wow! I saw the reading of this play at the Eugene O'neill Playwrights Conference and I fell in love with it. It's hilarious, it's fun and it's deep. Capital F feminist.

Really moved by the way Eleanor specifically honored a forgotten female playwright. Such a great meditation for the 21st century.

  • A gorgeous exploration of what it means to be an outsider. I've never read a play that takes place in a comic book store. I love this play. A gorgeous portrait of masculinity.

  • PLEASE PRODUCE THIS PLAY!

It's electric. It feels like home (and I am unlike all of the characters in this play) . It's funny and full.

  • Phanésia Pharel: Rain Ceremony

A gorgeous portrait of two men being there for each other. I was moved by the father and son relationship. I also felt them on the porch. Poetic - Sondai is a voice to watch!

  • Phanésia Pharel: Fires, Ohio

I love this play!! Very funny - a wonderful introduction to Beth's voice but also holds Chekhov fully. It's SO HARD to write or to bear witness stories on climate change and I think this play does that perfectly.

  • Phanésia Pharel: Empty Ride

I saw the Old Globe production of this play TWICE! Absolutely masterful. I cried. This is a powerful story that can connect us all. Seriously. I could see anyone being moved by this play. If you're in a theatre community and feel worried about what to program in this climate - I think this play is one to look at. You would not have to compromise your values. It's a human story but it's one that is overlooked. Love love love!

  • Phanésia Pharel: Savage Training

A gorgeous coming of age play meets a hunger games style competition. Full of fun and questions on how we engage with African citizens and the strings that come with aid initiatives.

  • Phanésia Pharel: नेहा & Neel

I saw a gorgeous production of this play at the Wagner New Play Festival. I have never seen a community respond so happily to a play. Know if you produce this play, you will have an outpouring of joy and love from South Asian folks. If you want joy - it's नेहा & Neel!
