  • Andrew Lee Creech: Impossible Theories Of Us

This is a fabulously complex meditation on mortality and connection, full of wonderful language and thought-provoking ideas. Got a chance to see it at Seattle Public Theater's Distillery New Works Festival, and the audience was absolutely captivated. Highly recommend for theatres looking for a dynamic, low-resource two-hander to fill out their season.

  • Andrew Lee Creech: The Bed Trick

This play is simply outstanding. Caught the Seattle Shakespeare Company production, and when I tell you that you don't often get experiences in the theatre like I had, I MEAN it. It asks questions, it provokes, it educates, and it does it all while having you in stitches laughing...until you're not. And then you are again. This is the kind of theatre that makes me excited for the future of our industry.

  • Andrew Lee Creech: Bethany Sees the Stars

A beautiful play about grief, loss, friendship, and family. Some truly wonderful writing, with dialogue and universal truths that hit you right in the feels. I had the privilege of seeing a production multiple times, and each time, audiences left the theatre deeply moved.

  • Andrew Lee Creech: All We Know Is Not Enough

This is a wildly imaginative and powerfully important play. Somebody produce this!

  • Andrew Lee Creech: Tenderness

Tenderness is weird (in the good sense). It's pointed, eerie, brutal, and...tender. It's fantastical, but maybe not that far off from possible? This play gives voice to much needed perspectives. In terms of production requirements, it's not terribly resource heavy, outside of projections.

  • Andrew Lee Creech: As Is: Conversations with Big Black Women In Confined Spaces

Really incredible play. These glowing recommendations say it all. This play needs to be produced.

  • Andrew Lee Creech: Proper: A Steampunk Comedy of Manners

This play is a rarity. We don't often get to see a modern a comedy of manners, and this one succeeds in wonderful ways. It's got delightfully drawn characters, amazing roles for women, clever language, and lots of fun bits. It tackles issues that feel all too relevant today, and it does so with a steampunk aesthetic that lights up the imagination. I hope to be able to see this fully produced one day.
