Sam Mauceri

Sam Mauceri is a DC area playwright, director, and theatre educator. They received their BA in Theatre and a BA in Arabic Studies from the University of Maryland in 2015. When Sam isn't writing and directing plays centered on non-binary folks and queer women, they are creating theatrical sensory experiences in their classes for the very young (ages 1-5).

  • The 1st Annual Head-Shaving Olympics
    In this 20 minute genderqueer comedy, Alex is content being femme but wishes everyone would stop misgendering them as a woman. In their quest to be recognized as non-binary by members of their own community, they begin training for the Head-Shaving Olympics, the highest level of competition for a non-binary athlete. But is going for gold the same as being true to themself?
  • CrossFit WonderWoman
    On a deserted city street, Kiara is being sexually harassed when Jackie intervenes by punching the guy's lights out. She's a hero, right? ....right?

    Lily and Erin are happily married and living their happy average lives. Then Lily has an unplanned pregnancy with a sea lion baby. Erin is less than pleased.
