Born in New York City, a member of The Ensemble Studio Theatre, he's had plays produced in New York, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Syracuse, etc. Published novels include BENJAMIN GRABBED HIS GLICKEN AND RAN and BLOOD NEVER DRIES. BALANCE OF PAYMENTS, a one-act play, was a winner in the Warner International Play Festival and was produced there in October 2019.
Although he's had table reads, staged readings, and/or full productions of all of his plays, he's burned most of this work because these plays didn't achieve the drive and emotional impact he hoped for. The three full-length plays listed here with NPX, (I AM THE WOLF, A GLASS OF BLUE, and AMERICAN MU$CLE), approach the combination of passion and craft he wants in his work .
He's a recipient of a PEN Grant Award, a three time Edward F. Albee Fellow, a graduate of UC Berkeley, an MFA in film from Columbia University, and a member of the Dramatist Guild.

Nabil wants to join his uncle's business but, in order to be considered seriously within his uncle's organization, Nabil must be seen as fearless which means he has to kill. But Nabil has only been a petty thief -- he has never taken someone’s life before. A GLASS OF BLUE follows Nabil as he realizes what he needs to do for his future with his uncle, is horrified because he’d rather be a lover than a killer, and yet he knows if he doesn’t do what his uncle and brother urge him to do, he may be trapped. A GLASS OF BLUE, a theatrical experience in one act, is a chilling story about how the possible moral corruption of a young man influences him as he seeks to win the love of his surrogate criminal father.
