Colleen McCandless has been writing and acting since childhood and owes a lot to her creative and supportive family. Written while a performance undergrad, her first play Fledgling received the Kennedy Center's 2016 John Cauble Award for Outstanding Short Play, and went on to workshop productions at STAGEStheatre, Glendale Community College, and Cal State University Long Beach. Colleen's subsequent works include Fourteen Fingers, a site-specific beach play; Boxcar Blue, a musical ripe for development; This Slam Happens Between the Sizzle and the Hum, co-written with director Lottie Frick and performed in an apartment kitchen; and All In One Night, an original score and annual live charity reading of A Christmas Carol.
